Me and Fox applied to do the job, as we are trying to get the NE organized atm.

we had a structured plan including weekly meets, monthly meets (for the whole region, not just the north) etc.

I know there has been a lack of meets in the south of the region but I hope the new monthly meets will be a success.

neither of us have heard anything about it

I suggest Turner takes over the rains again as when he did it before there were always mini meets through the week and larger meets at the weekend, there always seemed to be a decent turnout too and the meets were all over the region. I think the Arni meet was a classic example, Bring back Turner in my opinion

It got cancelled for the Yorkshire vs NE meet (the original) which never happened and when I went to rebook the day we lost the discount as it was a one time offer :( Looking at a place in Leed's for us now where all the Yorkshire lads get their remaps etc done and they get an great write up.

As for two of us going for it, the idea was to have someone north and south so we had an eye on the whole area, also if one is busy on a given date the others to take the strain as sometimes I get stuck in the house looking after the bairn. I think we also made the suggestion to have someone down in the southern regions (boro/stockton.yorkshire borders) to in order for the whole area to have coverage. The plan was for the RO's to meet up on a regular basis to discuss the state of the region, work out where coppers are giving members hassle, drive out and locate good meeting points for everyone etc etc.

As people have said you can't please everyone, some people can't do weekdays and some can't do weekends. The idea is to find something that suites everyone :)

the weekly meets up north are for the members who dont want to travel to the south of the region. you's meet weekly at t-park.

fair enought I dont have the time to come to the meets at t-park but I cant remember you's comimg to the north meets either.

oh by the way Fox helped organize the weekly sage meet ;)

I did indeed to help the more northern members get to a meet or two. Had a few members from Ashington and Morpeth down which is alright as I know from their own thread "Is anyone from or near Ashington" they generally meet up that way and stick around Morpeth and Ashington etc.

I do think the better idea is to have a few RO's for the region instead of one tbh as that means there is always someone able to sort something out if the others have other commitments on any given date. In all honesty Dan has done a lot more than me recently, been busy with getting the bairn ready for school and the lack of the corsa for now due to a smash.

If possible, if Dan and I went for it, so thats the North and Central area's covered is there anyone that would like to step forward to help with the boro area of the region and surrounding lower area's. Weekly meets will probably be localised I would say so everyone can get out at some point with club members. I will try to get down to Teesside park atleast twice in the month (probably every other week all depending on where I stand with the bairn and Sharon's college days) so I can get around the region, that also goes for me heading up to the Morpeth area to pay a visit to the more Northern members.

Problem is all these idea's and hope for the region are just that, as Dan has said we spoke to the admin's a while back, early July I think and we have heard nothing, we also stated in that we would want someone from the lower parts of the NE to be considered as an RO to so then the NE will always have someone at hand and that all parts of the NE are taken care of and no one is left out.

At the end of the day, the region is only as good as its members and I must admit we have some canny one's at that. Always have a laugh and a joke on.

Thanks :) Just need someone to be an RO to keep an eye on the boro/tees/stockton area I think but god knows if 3 RO's can be put forward. I hope so then the whole North East will be covered and we can get things rolling again for everyone and get the whole NE together just like the Arni meet earlier in the year

I think we should move the weekly meet to a more central location eg. Sedgfield  so no one in the are feels left out, or that the locations are "always in the north"

but thats just my opinion.

Fox

As it seems the Teesside meets are Wednesdays I am more than happy to meet on a Wednesday so the Teesside and sage meets can meet together. Need's to be discussed with everyone so you can get a picture of what the situation is for the majority :)

we need a map to find a good location. needs to be an equal distance from the north to the south of the region ;)

The point is we need someone who is genuinly interested in moving the club forward and arranging meets etc, So i stand by my opinion the turner should be reinstated

aguycalleddb
18-09-2007, 18:56
tbh I dont care who is ne ro as long as the north east gets moving again.

there was plans for go karting, rolling road etc. so these should be pushed forward with the new idea of monthly meets.

This is getting way out of hand now, i think most of you are missing the point of being a RO

It's not about how many meet's you've attended, what car you drive or even what colour your car is!!

When you go out shopping you dont contact your local Tesco Regional Orginiser do you?

What my point is....a RO's main role is to keep this north east section of the forum moderaited, not to orginise meet ect, you do this on your own

I think that made sense
