Dash Lights

First off, mine are completely standard at the moment.
Just something I noticed today, I don't know if it's meant to do it or not but......

All the lights in the dash where the speedo etc is and the MFD thing, they all go dim when I turn my headlights on.

Is this meant to happen?

Its meant to happen!

when u have an aftermarket headunit in, u can choose the "Dimmer" setting so it dims when u have your lights on

it's so the dash lights arent't so in your face at night, hence the adjuster if u want it even dimmer

nothing to do with battery charge

You may have knocked the dimmer setting when getting into the car... which would be why you didn't notice it before.

it is one of the little wheel things by your headlights switch, one dips the beams the other dimms the interior lights (MFD dash and stereo)
