just a quick question, how thick should the MDF be for building a sub box to hold a 12" alpine S-Type sub? 18mm?

no idea but i think the bigger, better subs have bigger magnets hence making them heavier :\

18mm or use fibreglass

at-least 18mm for any sub-box.

I am making mine at the moment and i have used 18mm mdf!
