Stereo Beeping

Hi guys, got a 55 plate 1.4 SXI with standard CD30 head unit, noticed recently that when I start my car up just before the radio station/cd track number comes up on the display and you can actually hear the music, the stereo makes a single "beep" noise immediately before it comes up for example "Track 4 1:34" on the display and you can actually hear the song, its kinda like: start car up - single beep sound - music is audible

just wondered if the beep was normal or if it beeps for a reason and if theres a fault.

just noticed this thread. mine does it aswell, i think it just does it when the stereo starts up.

I have noticed that it doesnt make the beep if the stereo volume is muted/turned down to volume 0 when you start the car up/turn the stereo off then back on. guess it must just be normal, just that I've driven a few Corsa C's before and never noticed it, right enough they were all prefacelifts.

possibly mate, but as said, doesnt beep when the volume is off/muted/at 0 although it sounds like the beep is coming from the stereo itself rather than the sound on it or from the speakers.

anyway, not to worried about it, radio still works fine.
