Help! What wiring do i need?

Just a quick question for all you lovely ICE people out there :P

Im going to halfrauds/halfords tmorro to buy all the wiring for my sound system, but ermm.....what exactly do i need? lol

I have an alpine 9812RB which is already wired up and im adding

2 Alpine 12" S-type subs
a 4 channel Alpine amp to run the subs
a 2 channel Alpine amp to run the components

All of which is going to be in my boot...

Any info appreciated :)

Fantastic service. I needed some connectors, so i ordered on their site at about 11pm i think it was and they turned up the next day at 10:30am !!!!! Couldnt believe it!

Maplins is crap for cable. You are best of waiting mate, and getting it from the net :thumbs:

well to start with you will need some big power cable probably 4awg about 4/5 meters
then say 1 meter of 8awg power cable
2 meters of 8awg earth cable
distribution block
some normal electical cable for the remote
some RCA cables
lots of speaker wire, about 10m to the components and then 2 odd meteres for the subs?

Get 15m of speaker cable for the comps as 10m wasnt enough for me. Better to have slack than not have enough!

i have 15meters of big speaker cable free for sale if you're interested

defo get more than 10m of speaker wire, i got 10m of it with a wiring kit and was 1m short and had to buy another 10m.
