Amp installation

Hi im just installing my am to power my front components and have a couple of questions!

Im installing the amp in the boot, and i am having the power lead running down the left hand side of the car and the RCA's running down the right hand side. I then have to get speaker cable back up to the front doors, the diagram in the tutorial shows both speaker cables running back up the right hand side along side the RCA's can i not have the speaker cable for the left door runningon the left side next to the power cable? What would happen if i did do this?

Also, Can i use some 16gauge copper speaker wire to make a remote turn on lead, as ive got loads of spare speaker wire!

i wouldn't use speaker cable for remote, but atleast you have spare. when i did mine i ended up a metre short, and had to buy another 10m.

but you can buy the remote cable for a few quid so id use that.
