bloody got stoped by the police on the M1 outta belfast there last nite and they tested my tints on my car and it measured 31.5... did ya's know that if its under 30% you get a 60 quid fine points n your licence and they put ypur car off the road untill you have your tints. If its between 60 and 30% you get a fine of 30 quid and you have 14 days t get to a police station to show them that your tints are off or they are changed to the regulations.

luckily enough i got a nice enough police man and he gave me a warning... if it had of been an ackward backstard he could of fined me.

wat a load of crap like!!!! wat bout the knobs that are gettin behind the wheel that cant see cause there blocked!! try stoppin them first and leave us alone like.:x

I can see the reason for stopping some people with tints, i mean some peoples windows are pitch black and in the dark or bad lighting can lead to poor judgement etc... but i do agree with you partially.
I had tints for around a week but just found them to be annoying as i was stopped and asked about them, removed them not because they were illegal but because i simply hate the hassle it brings.

my m8 drives a polo he has his windows tinted (even front driver n passenger) n he aint been stopped, yet hes screwed when he is cause not only they too dark but illegal to have front two done aswell.

tints behind the b pillar can be as dark as you want (thats rear 3 windows), its best not to tint the front 3 windows as you'll find that the glass is partially factory tinted

I have the rear windows done, i have left the front windows standard as they will cause problems with the police if i was stopped

the back three in my car r tinted. u gotta admit tho...police do pick on young drivers wiv modified cars. if u drove a bmw or somethin an had all the windows tinted...they prob wouldnt hav looked twice at u. dont understand y they've such a pick on us...it aint fair :x

At the end of the day yes the cops will pull you for them, its why i removed mine... i dont want the hassle, everything is above board on my motor always has been always will be.
You were very very lucky to get a warning, just take note of it. if your tints are legal get a from stating so from the place you got them fitted so to clear up any issues with police in future :)

yeah i'm gonna get legal ones fitted. see how much is the factory tint on the windows?? cause your essentially putting tint over tint so you could have legal tints but they could just be over cause of the factory tint.. Or am i worng??

i have my back two side windows limo tinted, it looks awesome. the back is not tinted yet as i managed to get the tint on but there was a crease at the bottom so i took it off as i want a perfect tint so i'm gonna pay to get it done! the rear window is a nightmare to tint lol

Nah in one sheet mate, we got it eventually though.
Dad is used to putting on loads of transfers etc so he was the guy for the job lol

actually i got done for mine, 36% and he told me to pay the fine and if im stopped again after 3 weeks with the tints in, it goes to court, but i didnt have to go down and show them at the local police station! ive only 6 days to change mine! lol

in all seriousness tho if you wanna get your tints done cheap, get William to do your rear side windows (he did mine they're perfect) and then get a pro to do the rear (the rear is a nightmare) and you'll save yourself loads!
