Hi chaps,
I've got all my stuff on order just want to know if this looks ok as this is the first sub/amp i've installed. As you may or not know i want to run it all from my standard headunit so i've bought a speaker to RCA converter to run off my rear speaker wire. I've ordered a twin active sub with amp built into the box to make life easier.
If possible i want to keep the rear speakers wired up and basically tap into the wiring with the adapter using scotchloks or similar, but this isn't paramount as i doubt they'll be heard.
From looking at this (http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop//images/var/DIRECTED-55020-SPEAKER-TO-RCA.jpg) adapter it has 4 wires and an earth, i assume a positive and negative runs to each of the speakers wires at the back, i've yet to go and look but does anyone know if the rear speakers run daisy chained, or down each side of the car or along the base of the boot and down one side? so i can find the best place to put the converter?
As the standard headunit doesnt have a remote connection (as far as i'm aware), i'm going to be wiring the remote cable to the ciggy light so it doesnt rip my battery while the cars sat in my drive.
Heres my first mock up of the wiring.

Hope someone posts this time, comments more than welcome... :woops:
