Aerial Booster?

I have recentley fitted an after market stereo but have noticed that the reception has not been as good as it was, i have had to take off the bee sting aerial and put on the MASSIVE standard one again, so my question is......is there anything that i can do to boost the reception i get as i want to keep the bee sting?? If it helps the after market stereo is a pioneer.

Ive seen amplified arials in motorworld before... never used or seen one working...

Just replace the aerial conction on the inside of the car check uder the roof lining and also behind on the sterio should be no reason the reception is no good had the same problem on mine when I butchered my areial stand with one of them richbrook anti thefts I over tightened it in the stand and had to replace it and never had a broblem since still have a tiny bee sting on too it's something to do with the grounding I think but you dnt need the massive standard aerial on hope that helps any problems just pm me and I will be glad to help. Hmm most people have aftermarket stereos so is this a common problem? I really hate having the huge aerial on it makes the car look turd!! :lol:
