What difference will it make having bigger/smaller box for my 12" sub?
Cheers:thumbs:
Depends on the sub mate, its best to build the box to the reccomended specifications.
The box being ported / sealed would make more of a difference

well the recomended sub box is 25-50 litres
So i just wondered what the difference between a bigger/smaller one would be.
Am i right in thinking that a small box will more punchy?
A sealed box would be more punchy yes. Just build it to the reccomened spec mate, then it will sound its best

In general:
Small - More linear high frequency response, more power required to go loud and loss of the lower frequencies.
Large - Quicker roll off in the high frequencies, less power required and better low frequency response.
