View Full Version : has anyone fitted a resistor kit for LED indicators???

yeah, very easy, just find the wire that controls the indicator and wire the resistor up with the other wire from the resistor goin to a seperate earth!
u made that sound complicated :(
so i got one wire going for a positive?? so i liek solder that to the bulb or something??
and where is the best place to connect the one going to the earth?

is it on the front or the rear of the car??
its the side repeaters and the back indicators

side indicators should be easy, just attach either end of resistor kit to each wire, and the back ones, once you find the wire for the indicator, attach one end of the resistor kit to the wire and earth it in the boot anywhere you can!
in fact the left rear indicator wire should be black and white and the right rear wire should be black and green.

oh and you can connect how you want, i just used wire crimpers and it works fine

where did u wire ur earth to on the side and back ones??
and for the side ones i have to wire a earth yea? where did u wire urs to?

side ones you can just use the two wires for the indicator itself, you wont have any trouble there,
but on the back ones its a bit mor complicated as the reverse lights and the tail lights use the same earth so they could come on with the indicators (mine did until i sorted them out)
i actually earthed it up to my rear seatbelt bolts and it all works fine!

for the crimping did u cut the wire? n then like put them in? or connect them to the wire atm? im a lil confused how u actuasly connected the wires up ?

could u do a tutorial aswell with some good pics coz i wanna put led bulbs into my indicators! and it wud help a few more people aswell :doublethumbs:

IF I HAVE TO :( dam.. UR ALL SO annoying ;( making me work harder its enough i have to take a screw driver, nevermind a blody camera to!
