View Full Version : Is it ok to connect LED's in a strip to dipped headlights?
Is it ok to connect a led strip with like 48 leds in which takes a 12v application to my dipepd headlights? but so they still both work??

yes, but you will only be able to have them on when your diped are on
yea thats fine :) just so long as its fine to actually connect them n it wont blow anything or set something on fire lol

it will only blow a fuse at the end of the day, and only if the wires r touching so keep them apart, tape?
which wires r touching? do u mean the pos n neg?? i ws maybe just gna splice into the dipped headlight wirE?
pics? r8/a5 style we going for then? ;)

yeh even in dipped your gunna haft 2 split them, just make sure + - dont touch

They do the actual strips on ebay professionally made but cost around 100 quid lol :P
I've seen a few range rovers with that done and to be honest in your head in seems good but once its on it looks tacky as ****.
Would probably look better no an astra or corsa d with the longer head lights but dont think it'll look right with a corsa c, but you can always take them out again if they dont!

^^ Agreed, but its still looks amazing on C's which i've seen.
be carefull... the headlamp reflector can heat up to 185 degrees... thats preyy fukin hot ;)
