..or is it? :) please don't be! having problems with facelift lights i've bought recently too!!

so annoyed about this, it turned up and i paid £24 having it fitted, custom loom made up as couldnt find any wiring adapters anywhere for the funny connection on the HU.

Taken a vid to show the problem, think i'm being a bit hopeful thinking its a setting or something, i'm sure its just faulty which makes me sooo pi**ed off at the seller on here!!!

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=r8vj2ZkvzGo

the screen comes out but then just clicks and growls when it should be folding it up into place, the vid shows what i mean lol, the display doesnt come on in the vid but if i turn it off (hold power buttob for 5 secs) then back on again, the display comes up on the screen, i just have to fold in into place manually

also, takes about a week to read the cds?

faulty tho?! what should i do? bought it second hand off here

Yea that should go up but they do take ages to read cd's. It's a crap unit to be honest, it may be touch screen but you can barely control anything with the touch screen! You cant even change the volume on the screen lol

i disagree think its a really good lillte headunit and am 100% happy with mine.... and you can control everything via the touchscreen - including the sound!!!

i was led to believe they were good though! yeah it's crap firmware on it, cant select tracks out of the list or anything, just brings up a horrid looking OSD you have to use, not happy! :(

Kieth Fusco is a good lad, i doubt he would screw you out of any money, give him a PM and sort it, i think it will be a simple fix to be honest

This worked fine in my car mate. There was never a problem with the screen when I had it in. Maybe it's a fault with the Corsa-C, as Matt had the same issue? It's worked fine in mine since I had it, right until the audio guy took it out, and I boxed it up, and sent it with MartyPaul's.

See, on the D, it was fine, as it fit in snugly, and there was plenty of room. Maybe it's a feature of the C?!

Agreed, I'm sure he would never have knowingly sold you a faulty unit.

Have you tried just give the bottom of the screen an ecouraging tap upwards when it's doing the whole "clicking" bit? It sounds like it's struggling to go up so maybe it just needs some help to get going and then the screen would display straight away??

I wouldn't, and it was working fine when it was in the car, and once it was took out, I boxed it up right away, and packaged it up, and arranged courier with MartyPaul's, which originally wasn't picked up when it was supposed to, so it got booked in again.

Mods, lock this. Matt is going to get a refund once he sends the HU back, along with the remote/wires/manuel etc.

This is also a thread about a member, as he's posting things about me, saying I have ripped him off etc, which just isn't on. For example: "Taken a vid to show the problem, think i'm being a bit hopeful thinking its a setting or something, i'm sure its just faulty which makes me sooo pi**ed off at the seller on here!!!"

Case dismissed.

what you on about? i'm aloud to be upset that something i've spent £170 + £24 fitting is faulty!

keith has offered a full refund if i return it so thats great thankyou but im gonna lose out too much doing that, rather have some compo and just keep it and get it repaired

the point of the thread was for people who've maybe had the same problem to help me, to give advice on where to take it to get it looked at??

Keith Fusco is a top lad, he is not Philips :nono:

The thread is directed at another member and that isn't allowed.

I feel this can be sorted out over PM now ;)

Thanks Dan
