i put mine high up in the passenger footwell. i never took the ipod out of the car (except to put new songs on) so i velcro'd the ipod up there too. it couldnt be seen unless you put your head in the footwell.

what a waste of good space...

maybe run the wire for the ipod into the glovebox but i wouldnt put the adapter in there.

Harder to steal

Easier to take ipod (going to taking it out every journey because i use it a hell of a lot)

Don't really use glovebox for anything else apart from insurance docs + the front of the HU when parked.
