Doesn't say wired remote input and not many kenwood's under the £300 mark had the ability to use steering wheel controls.

the steering wheel controlls will only work if the headunit has the input for them, i know that my kenwood head unit has them but i dont have steering wheel controlls.

ask whoever you are buying it off if it has it.

Get your hands on the unit before you buy it, look at the back and you're looking for what looks like a headphone socket, normally around the edge or in corners.

If it aint got it then your controls aint working.

What kenwood model is it? easiest way to check to be honest, Stevescorsa is right not many under the £300 mark do.

I have little experience of Kenwood HUs however have heard a few of the new JVC range and I have found them to be superb units in terms of SQ. For SQ on a budget I would certainly recommend a JVC unit.

Also I know that the newer KDG801 is compatible with steering controls, so its a possibility that this one will be compatible too.

Insanely old mate.

That would explain why I could only find pics of the 801! I thought it was only a slightly older model. My bad lol

TBH you can get a brand spanking new JVC 331 from about £70 and probably less than that on the bay. Why spend a little bit now only to spend more again when you actually realise how crap the first was??
