Im looking into getting a set of black angel eyes, mainly as i want hid's and have a pre facelift.
But still want the electic leveling, so will need to use the motor.
How hard is this to put in, as ive seen some people have done it only to have them fail, is this something with the angel's not excepting the motor or human error when they were put back in (some sort of ball and socket joint thing)????
Who has angel's with the motors working??

i had the angel eyes working with the motors. more hassle than its worth. I put my car back to standard to sell and came to put the motors back in the standard lights and they no longer worked. this was because the angel eyes have less movement than standard lights which means the motors cannot extend to the full length they need to work properly which means they keep trying until they burn out. which resulted in me having to fork out £67 for 2 new motors from vauxhall. the headlight level adjustment is pointless unless your towing a caravan or something anyway, its just another thing to go wrong and old car managed fine without them. looking back on it i would have been better just leaving them adjusters in that come with it and setting them to level.

I suppose if you just leave the motors in the old (standard) lights they wont brake in there, and when you need to put the standard lights back on, the motors wont of burnt out!
I can honestly say ive never used the leveler thing, and i def dont intend to tow a caravan!
On the lights from Rimstyle they have a leveler knob thing, so i guess like you said set this and you wont need to worry about it?
I think what i will do is mark up where im parked on the drive, then mark on the garage door where the light beam is on the standard lights, then put in the angels, drive up to the marked point and adjust the lights untill they are in the same position!

thats what i did mate, just didnt move the car, marked on garage door with a drywipe marker pen then put angel eyes in and set them up.
