Hi

I have purchased a Head Unit stated above and i have rang up halfords where i have got it from and apparently i dont need an adaptor for it. i have rang both halfords around my area and both come up with the same thing.

for the people who have them how did you install it and did you actually need to adaptor?

not put one in the corsa but in the mg zr it went straight in with no adapter

Guy in Halfords told me the same thing but what they don't tell you is most of the newer C's (2004 on i think) have canbus wirering which do need an adaptor only way to be sure is take out the old HU and have a look at the plug.

i took out my old one and the adaptor i have used for my other one seems to be too big for the one i have now - if anyone has any pics of theirs plugged in to the back it would be a great help :thumbs:

thanks for all your replys - i have gone to halfords and they have informed me that their is an adpator off the Unit that is missing. i have now contacted the customer services to ask them why mine did not come with one as apartenlty they come as standard with the Unit.

hope to hear from them tomorrow

PMSL, i've worked for halfords in the past. They'll fob you some excuse as they won't know why. They're made somewhere across the big pond and all manner of swapping and changing goes on in-store, you're probably just unlucky and someone has taken one out to use on a warranty job. The loom's are available form them seperately but they should give you one out of another box.
