Thats if you have an automatic
An LED goes in there to light up the dash screen telling you if your in Park, Drive, Neutral etc

As far as i can remember, if you stick one in it'll light up.
I'm sure mine did.

I think I might take it out again and stick one in 2morrow and see what happens.
Anyone else done that?

What i did when i did mine, i took the instrument panel apart completely, to the point of taking the dial mat off the front aswell, that way when you push the dials bakc whilst testing you can see if they have lit up easily, (when i did someone elses they were difficult to see) so it's easier to tell if they are on or not :D

I put a PlayBoy bunny in my daughters speedo using that socket. It helped that I had a set of auto clocks to dismantle as I used the retaining clips etc to mount the bunny.

I could not get my speedo or mfd to light up once changing the globes. All other lights worked once changed but not these two. I have tried them all different ways as they have + and - but they still dont work.
I know the globes are fine as I tested them in the headlight switch and they work fine there.
Any ideas on how to get them working?

What the hell are globes?

I presume you mean LEDs, if so did you try and turn them 180 degrees as LEDs are polarity sensitive.

Yes I do mean LED's and I have tried turning them 180 deg but still no action...

Try and close the tabs up on the bulb holder, it you look there's a top and bottom tab on each side, close them together a little bit. Some sellers bulb holders don't seem to be great and the gap between the 2 tabs is too wide, it means it doesn't grip the PCB as tight as it should and they fail to light as there is no contact.

Have you tested the LEDs on a battery? just to make sure they work that is.

I will try this.... I haven't tested on a battery only because I tested them in the headlight switch...
