How do all
I purchased some HIDS a month ago and i am a bit concerned about fitting them!!
I have black angel eyes at the mo and the light they give off is rubbish so i have to do something!!
I am aware that i would need to mod the lights to get the bulbs in.
AND to be honest i aint to confident with this as i can quite easily damage the angel eyes.
How much do you experienced folk recon i should shell out to get these bad boys fitted?
Ta
The cap that closes the dipped bulb (spherical shape) needs to be taken off, and cut thru with a 25mm hole saw, then simply mount the ballasts and wire up...
and dont go to a garage to fit them, its a very easy mod
the garage will charge you a lot to get it done...as bluimp said it not hard
picture of what it will look like when fitted!;)

Really wudn be to concerned m8, aslong as you take your time u shuid be fine. The only thing I sometimes wonder is that I have heard some ppl say file out the metal slot to make the H1 bulb fit and some say drill, which has proven to be the best method for all you'se that have attempted this??

theres a bit in the angels that blocks the bulbs from going in. just look as ur putting the bulb in and ull see the bit that needs to go.

They all do, but I'm not aware of ne1 who has experienced melting or anything. If u wanna warrenty then Rimstyle's Ultra VDX kit is your best bet, but comes at a price!!

35w HIDS run cooler than 55w H1 and 7 bulbs - shouldnt have melting worries.
OEM HID xenon lights should have levelers and washers - as your kit isnt OEM, you dont.

I dont think the hids run cooler, they are 8000k, 55w halogens dont heat up to that temp, i can stand infront of my car and feel the heath thru the headlight.
Ultra's angels are made for the VD kit, ive called them up and asked if its possible to fit them, they told me they were meant to have them, thats why on the front of their catalog the car has HID in angels on it.
all you gotta do is drill that 25mm hold, you cannot damage the lights in anyway, because your only drilling teh backing, not the headlight unit.

but surely if the vd kit is hid too, and runs at 35w and at 8000k, then surely it is the same temp etc as the cheaper ebay ones. i think the only difference between the vd kit and the ebay ones is that the vd one is specifically designed to fit the angels.
i fail to see why one set of hids is ok, while another can damage the headlights
just get what you want mate, the vd kit was made to last... ebay = no warranty (even tho it says it has it, so much hassle). go for the £40 ones it wont damage nothing.
just go for it mate, your just scared youll **** it up, when theres tiny chance you will do any damage, e.g. drop the headlamp when your removing the backing, thats the only time you can really fook it up.
