central locking

hey, does anyone know why my central locking has gone on my sxi?...it just packed in..the battery in my key has been changed and the battery on the car isnt flat. just wondering if any guys could help come up with some kinda suggestions?

Have you checked the fuse for the c/l?

yeah i have, thats all in tact. ive even checked every fuse and everythings fine. No-one knows whats wrong..and im starting to feel like a right nerd manually un-locking my car everytime.

Sounds like the key needs "re-synchronized" to the car:-

Briefly press either button on the remote control while it is in the ignition.

The central locking system should lock and unlock to show that the remote control has been synchronised.

You forgot to mention that the key has to be on the second notch when they key is in the ignition..the one where the lights come on on the dash but engine isnt one :wink:
