View Full Version : 6x9s
Decided to sell my install and put standard headunit and 6x9s in as i need the boot space. Anyone recommend any
alpine do awesome compact bass solutions i mean they dont compare to proper sub amp combo but would save space and still provide bass!
I have Hifonics in mine and they sound really nice! Admittedly though they r prob goin soon cos i wanna sub and amp combo to match my comps upfront. But no complaints for the 6x9's since I've had em!!
6x9's are **** mate, why do you want them?
i recommend my alpine type S speakers, lol, i can sell them to you if i want because im putting my ice back to standard and doing it properly when i have more money
Ohhhhhhhhhh tell me why?
Please lets not get in to this nemore!! This is an ongoing debate, all that has to be said is that Ryan is right, 6x9's aren't gr8 for SQ etc etc but suit some ppls budget/needs etc etc
This debate is ongoing and only angers all ICE God's. And thats coming from sum1 who has sum!

they are briliant
brilliant sounding bass/treble! Even when not amped!
Sorry i know you're a decent guy and im not picking on you, just expressing my thoughts on 6x9's mate.

they are briliant for wet farting bass!
and the treble from the vibe range will make your ears bleed!
dont bother wasting your money on amping them though!
even on a budget, why 6x9's? WHY :(
What do you want from your 'sound system'

they aint **** though
like has been said from an sq level
then yes
but on a budget, speaking from experience with those vibes, you didnt NEED a subwoofer
they produced a good level of bass and treble, and they cost me £70 and an amp to run them, much better for budget users!

If you can find the kenwood 6x9 subwoofers, they will give the added depth

I've got a set of infinity kappa 6by9's for sale.
If you want to upgrade rear speakers without a sub then 6by9's will do what you want. Won't give fantastic SQ but hey.
I'm after £50 for mine plus £7 for delivery and they're virtually brand new, still got all packaging.
better of changing the comps, someone mentioned 6x9 subs they can be mounted in the parcel shelf easily id sugges a stealth shelf as they are pretty tasty bits of kit so worth hiding
ive got focal comps in the front. Selling my subs as i need the boot for stuff for work. Not after amazing SQ so they will be fine. I know alot of people hate them but they are fine for what m after. Cheers for the comments. Ive PM a few of you

6x9s are a waste of time, money, effort and street cred. Get a compact sub solution.
