I noticed yesterday that I had a headlight out, so I went and got a new bulb today, changed it, checked it, drove about and it stopped working. Got another changed it and it seemed alright, was driving back to Southampton from Manchester and it went again.
Any suggestions as to why this has happened?
Do you know if the bulb has actually blown ?

Doesnt sound good, you going to check the other bulb tomorrow?
Could be the alternator pushing out to much voltage - read it somewhere

I'll look in the morning and see if the bulb has gone.
if it hasnt am I looking something expensive to sort?
In the mean time, what are the rules on driving with one headlight working properly?

i had the same problem. i had a bulb blow then i replaced it, only for the second bulb to blow. turned out it was the clip holding the bulb in was loose. in the end i just got hids as i didnt see the point of constantly replacing bulbs

Well I checked the bulb today, its not blown, forgot to check the clip thing though.
I had to drive through a really really big puddle (talking about a foot maybe a foot and a half deep), thats not going to have anything to do with it is it?
