yeah probs about 50w as above! i actually think the standard corsa speakers are quite good compared to some other standard speakers i've heard (my mum's pug 206 distorts at a very low volume)
i actually noticed the same thing lol my standard system untouched puts my dads 07 mondeo to shame lol

true they may well be good but with most new stereo bein 50x4 and over it would not be long till you blow them for the price you can get comps for now you may as well upgrade best in the long run
Speakers don't produce power, amps do. Your standard HU will probably deliver around 10-12 watts RMS to each speaker. The speakers will have been designed to use this little power very efficiently.
However as I have discovered, they also cope well when you shove about 150watts RMS through them! An upgraded HU definitely won't blow them.
I agree that the front comps are very good for an OEM offering but there is still room for improvement.

If you amp the standard front components, do you need to amp the tweeter too or what?
If you wire from the amp back to the ISO wiring loom into the front channels you will be amping both the woofer and the tweeter. I don't know how they wire beyond that but the overall load on the amp is either 4 ohms so its not a problem.

well i plan to buy some decent front speakers, get those in, i allready have a 6 chanel amp, so then id get an audio shop to amp the front and rears for me!

Not really worth amping/having the rears tbh. But its a personal choice!

if you have people in the back, then amped rears might be nice for them
Not particularly. I have people in the back. They can hear the music perfectly fine. Don't even have to turn it up much either.
