Right having a few problems with it
Basically, I've got one ring on + on battery, another on -
Then I have the passenger side HID bulb going into the harness loom, and the harness going into the ballast
But on the other side, I've got another plug thing, and an earth connection
if I remove the HID bulb from the ballast and plug the harness one in its place, and earth it, it doesnt light up
ideas?
Make sure you earth both sides of the harness, iirc there are two earths, one near to each plug.
You have to earth both of them for it to work.
There will be one plug that isnt connected, as only one is needed to switch the relay on, so just cable tie it out of the way.

Well it turns out I was trying to earth it on my PLASTIC wing.
Found a suitable earth point, it worked!
Got in the car.
"Bulb Out warning"
Great. Back to standard wiring now.
Ive heard you can put a resistor is somewhere to stop the warnings ?
I would hazard a guess and say it basically goes in place of the bulb, (between the live and earth the bulb would of been connected to), as to fool the electrics into thinking there is still a bulb there, as a bulb is effectivley a form of a resistor?
As for the resistance value of the resistor needed, i have no idea  sorry
Worth a bit of further research and a try surely ?
