MFD Re-programme? Is it neccessary!

I have to replace my mfd with my local vxhl under warranty and they advised me that i need the radio code to re-programme it. Thing is! I dont have it to hand and may take ages to locate it as it wasnt from my local dealer? Do i really need to have it to change the mfd!?

yeah its standard its being replaced under warranty by vxhl! So i take it i need it then or pay £14 for them to get it for me! Cheers Mate!
