well i give mine a quick "brush" with my jet washer jst to get the bay slightly damp/wet then go over it in detail with plastic and engine bay cleaner and a good old fashion dirty rag to clean it
I steam clean mine then polish it with engine bay cleaner,
my mate power washes his all the time......dont think it can do it much good can it :?
i dint fink it wud do much good eitha - esp if water gets in air intake or starter motor (like my mates did - dried out tho once he got the car going) :? + its high-pressure so wud it not damage seals and stuff :?
i wouldn't do that, i just wipe mine over with a damp soapy cloth.

i sumtimes do this, but onli for a few seconds and from quite a distance so its spread out. n then i dry it out with a rag
i steam clean and jet wash mine every couple of months and it hant done no harm
The Vauxhall TIS says pressure washing the engine bay is fine as long as you don't blast the wiring loom and any connectors, and avoid the ABS pump if you have one.

Get a 2.0 Turbo and maybe you can be fussy about engine sizes. Not before! LOL

never used a jet wash on my engine i used to use auto glym engine degreaser or something like that but now ive had it all painted i use meguires quick detailer
I have never used a jet-wash on my car let alone the engine !!!
Just use a damp sponge and clean around the engine bay.... Always have done and always will do :) :) :)
A good going 1.2 will output the same as a 1.4. A Twinport 1.2 will be the same as the old 1.4.
Oh, andwith the 1.2 insurance is cheaper, uses less fuel, and has a timing chain not a big elastic band like the 1.4
