Hi Guys,
Just wanted some advice on a problem iv got with my new speakers.

Basically what happened was i got a set of DLS UP6i Speakers, fitted them in... kept them at low volumes as i didnt have a amp so didnt wanna wreck the coils. Anyway i fit them in, mdf, sound deadning the works, temp job on the x-over mounting and speaker wire security.

So anyway got my DLS A3 Amp and left my car with a very popular ICE Garage here who do Ferrari's etc.. and well i know a guy there and so used his tools etc and we both worked on the car, drilling holes and wiring etc, and i left my car with him and his collegues worked on the car to just clean wiring up, hide it, etc. And with the door cards etc off it sounded great and so i jus left it with them and when i piocked it up tuesday, i couldnt go over a certain volume as id get vibration from the passenger side. so i asked them what theyd done and they said it was just that the speaker needed to settle in 24 hrs playing time whatever. but iw asnt so sure so i opened it abit ago to find that they had done a **** job, cellotape holding the wires & x-overs.. and my passenger speaker rattling/vibrating, so i took the speaker off and held it in my hand and the dome hasnt got no damage on it yet it rattles when i put the volume up.

Whats worng with it? Theyv left the standard VX wiring to the X-Over and left the 12Awg OFC Cable i put in from:
Standard vx cable to X-over, X-Over to tweeter & X-Over to Woofer.

Ima go rattle their cage tomorow about the **** job theyv done but can someone confirm that the speakers f**k'ed or is it the wiring and the supply to the speakers clipping or something.

Iv got UK Warranty so what do i need to do about sorting it, is any costs involved?

Cheers

Ask for money to replace them and ask to have the job done right.

If they refuse, threaten to name and shame them all over the place.

called them up screwin at them down the phone and they wont take responsibilty but want me to bring my car in for them to check things out.

Another thing could a bad speaker wire somewhere behind the Hu to the Speaker... be damaged and so is earthing somehow causing it to clip at high volume?? Because my standard vx speakers had EXACTLY the same problem of vibrating at volume.
