Please common problem

Hi there all i have the usual dimming lights sindrome now i am only running 800w sub and amp and a power cap i know i dont need the cap for such a low watage but its there now i installed as i had it and i heard that it solves it but it adds to the problem... Can anyone give me some pointers on doing the "BIG THREE".. where can i get all the terminals and wire and shall i use 4 gauge wire? I was hoping there might be a tutorial for it all help would be greatly appreciated thanks corsa_16v...
