PLEASE LOOK AND HELP ME!!!
it failed on its MOT but surely that arent aloud 2 do this 2 them! they have also done it 2 my fogs 2!! they have ruined my lights!!! wot shall i do?? im goin back 2moz 2 ask um! but can they do this as they had NO permision 2 do it! U expect wen u send ur car in 2 get it back lookin the same!! not ruined!!

right i bought them off ebay and were all black have had um on 4ages! took car 2 get motd n they got sum cellulose or sumut n rubbed a section off!!
Id say 96% magenta colour imo.

the SXi lights are tinted as standard!
might aswel finish the job and just drive into the front of the garage lol
seriously though, maybe you could report it to someone, i dont think its legal to damage someones car because it failed an MOT test :err:

thats bang out of order that is.
If something fails MOT then they are not allowed to do anything unless you give them permission. all they can do is fail you and then you have to get a retest before your mot expires
whats happened when you went back then mate?

All I can say is :nono: That is like nothing Iv ever heard of.... cant believe they would just damage a persons property like that.... I can understand if they asked for your permission to make them legal again by rubbing them down, but not "oh fcuk it lets sand a bit off anyway"

right rang up on the saturday!! spoke 2 1 of the managers and he is NOT happy!! but there was no machanics in until wednesay!!! LAZY *ucks he said wen u cum n have it all fixed on the wednesday we will get all the managers 2gether n show them it n will take it from there! so will update on wednesday ASAP! And also im goin down 2 the pig station 2 c wot they say! if they will do nethin at all!!

lol, if you go to the police station i doubt they will do anything as chances are if your lights have been sprayed with the tinting spray and you cant see the reflecter (presumably why they removed some of the spray) then they would be illegal/fail mot anywya surly?
yeh i would wait until you have been to the garage before talking to the police as you may come out better because of it. you run the risk of pissing the managers off if you go to the police first + you may also get in trouble yourself for having the lights in the first place.
so be wary. PLUS!!! if you dont go to police first you may end up with compensation from the garage.

they cannot do that to your car. make a official complaint against them i say. if ther is anything which fails mot, theyr not allowed to try rectify it, unless your paying them 2 do so.. all in all..when going to a mot test, they list issues which have failed the mot, and then they give u a few days 2 sort it out, and re-test it.
what theyve done is WRONG, they shouldn't have touched ur car without your permission.

I would get a full refund on my MOT, Change MOT dealer and charge him for damages to the lights, they are not aloud to alter anything on a car weather it fails or not. They have no right to keep your car there if it fails its up to you the driver to fix the problem and prevent any police from pulling you over.
I mean my tire failed an MOT i had to put a spare on and replace the tire at another garage, its like my MOT sticking selotapes to my wheel for grip while i go tchange it? its wrong. Seriously dont ignore it go back and sort it, if it help get some big ppl to go with ya

iirc the rear lights need to be clearly visible for a certain distance (like 500m or something) and yeah you need to have a reflective surface!

Went garage n aparently on the job card it sed "rear lights illegal- see if paint will clean of" so sum chump picked the job card up and thought easy job! got sum thinner and scrubbed away!! - job card reads-"cleans off with thinner" My uncle 1 of the managers was like WTF!! he's taken the light and is goin 2 c if they can get it re-dun!! but if it does got re-dun surely it wont be the same as the other 1!! but o well!! also on the job card things that need doing were steering column collapsed, need new column & rack new head light (lugs snapped) NO THEY HAVENT I TOLD UM THAT THERE WAS A SCREW MISING - trying 2 con me 4 another £65-70 4 a new headlight!!! arseholes!! As 4 the fogs they jus need re painting! bit pi**ed off but uno! thats all i cud do cuz i need my car fixed 4 friday! cuz im goin on hol n paid £100 4 15days parking n a hotel room at the airport!!
