new hu and mfd

If i install an aftermarket head unit, i know i need an adaptor to make the steering wheel control's work, but what about the mfd will that still work?

Unless you get the adapter, it will have a blank bottom line but the top line remains.

Some manufacturers have adapters that work to display the track info, but it depends on the brand and your model of car.

depends on the make of HU kenwood support the display with out any extra leads. alpine HU's it depends on the model but the leads/adapter are £70-90 quid (that also does the wheel controls)

iirc sony and pioneer dont support any displays
