View Full Version : Door Handle Neons?
What is it actually called when you get blue neons fitted under your door handles?. And how is it done, and roughly how much does it cost?.
think its just an LED strip. im sure these can be made real cheap. nutkin can make stuff like this i think
just wire to the interior light so when u unlock the car they will slowly glow on :)
youd need a small hole for wires i guess?

Ive just thought thats a really good idea to wire to the interior light!! That would look the dogs when you unlock the car!! Bit weird if your just changin the CD though :P

no just run your wire through the door handle into the car, no need to drill holes and hook it to the + wire that comes off the door sensor that puts your interia light on

i had a huge glow of neon when i opened my corsa doors looked the business got some funny looks like but thats all apart of modding

indeed it is!! i wanna get one of them for my centre console bin aswell, and wire it to the lighter

the front 1s came on bk 1s stayed off

had switches also to turn all off or part on or all on with out interia light
yea but if you got the light (roof) with 4 bulbs you can use the map reading ones to change the CD :P

no even easier just wire up to senssor
you will have a little contact sensor under a rubber bit, tap into the + wire there, bobs ya uncle, that makes the connection which sends the current thru= glow ya tubes

police wont do anything if stationary or ignition off. just unlocking or opening a door they wont do anything ;)

yup :) im tempted to put some in the corner of my door like audi's and some other cars have so when opening in the dark (parkd on a rd) cars can see its there :)

Im goin to halfords tomorrow and im gna buy some!! :) There will be a small grommet in the handle already i would imagine so i dont think you would have to make a new hole, but it would be a bit of chew on gettin the wires to the interior light

read my posts hole is on the handle its self, get on your kness n look up, read post again wire into contact sensor

Yeh but this will not illuminate when doors are unlocked, only when they are opened.

good point, tap into central locking + wire and door sennor with connector blocks, that will be the easir way
