on the back of my angels it says "hid bulbs not allowed"

so what does it really mean, because I've seen a bunch of C's with angels and his on this site...

why the hids are not allowed and should I put the hids regardless of that warning ?

thanks

Yeh i think everyones says that on them. It voids your warranty fitting HIDs, i think thats what the warning is there for.

I wouldnt recommend it as ive heard people talk about there bulb holders melting as the HIDs get that hot!

I was going for 6000K hids, I don't think they should heat that much up to melt something down, but I'm not sure whether to risk it or not...

HID's only produce significant heat when warming up, they actually run fairly cool once fully bright apparently. Rimstyle do gurantee that their VDX HID kit will be fine with their Angels (this is what i have although I got a bargain on the HID's 2nd hand) so if ur worried then fork out the extra dough for their HID's, but like ppl have said it is rarely an issue! Do it u won't regret it!

the warnign is there as HIDs can 'MELT' the angel eyes. But i think this is rubbish. My angel eyes from Rimstyle have got HIDs fitted and nothing is melted. I'v heard HID's dnt even produce much heat anywways?

HIDs if anything produce less heat than normal bulbs dont they?

thanks everyone for your input, I've asked around and decided to put hids today

and I think I also heard that hids produce less heat then normal bulbs

your not meant to touch bulbs as the dirt on your fingers can make them shatter
