With your manual there should be a card with the code on.
Without this then you need to go VX with your V5 to get the code.

Means you have 7 attempts left at entering the code correctly before the radio totally locks up.
i have my card with code and stuff, still doesnt work

leave it switched on for half an hour but don't touch it as it might have disabled itself. Had a few cars at work with the problem.
will try but i dont think that will work.
iirc the ignition needs to be on to have it reset?
r u sure. all the guides say just 2 clicks

leave it half an hour then try entering the code again. assuming you're entering it correctly?
to put the code in put the key in the ignition and turn it 2 clicks turn the stereo off from the on-off button hold the AS button and turn it back on (while holding the AS button) it should now show code ---- enter the code for the the first digit press the 1 button x amount of time for the number you need and then the same with the number 2 button and so on. then press AS button till bleep

maybe you have the wrong code
checked the chassis number on the card. its the same. im taking the unit out 2morro to make sure its the right 1 but i dont think some1 would have changed it for another standard unti.
if all this does not work then vauxhall but im not paying f**k all. i will say the card was printed in error and to get another for free

the car may have had a faulty unit and been replaced by vauxhall and so would have a different radio code
u never know. i will check 2morro.

My old C had a new stereo as the first made a weird noise when you turned it on. The guy did change my code on the car pass though, so maybe yours has a new stereo but they forgot to change the code.
i just went out to try code again and now it wont let me even put anything in. and no noise when i press AS. dame radio.
thats stupidly involved process isnt it? im currently waiting on my rqadio code from the place where i bought my car. is the code radio specific or car + radio specific?
i think car and radio specific

Codes are radio specific. It's the newer canbus cd30's etc that are car and radio specific as you don't see the code as it's all done by tech 2 at vauxhall.
went to vauxhall today and they are crap. all they said is pay £35 for it to be recoded or just wait and it might just start working at any point but no time scale.
i hate not having music cause then i just here all those noises the car makes

im sure they could take the number off of the unit, contact vauxhall and get the code.
id say try getting all the numbers possible off of the unit and call Vauxhall main technical helpline yourself
mite phone them 2morro. the problem is i cant put the code in until it decides it wants to let me. i have 7 tries left but now it wont let me input codes and vauxhall said the cd player has a mind of its own and will let me input the code when it wants

normally ther is a time that the ignition has to be on before you can input a code, the more wrong attempts the longer it takes to clear
There are plenty of "car audio shops" that will decode a stereo for about £5-£10. They will remove the need for a code altogether.
