Well i think the time has come for me to get a camera.

I normally just use the camer on my K850i but i just want to buy a digital camera now.

I was looking at the Canon Ixus 70 / 75 / 80 they seem cool enough.

But then I saw this, and I want it.

What are your thoughts? Any suggestions for a decent digital camera under £175?

Can't go wrong with a Canon, Sony, Fuji, Panasonic Lumix, Casio's are quite cool now as well.

The Ixus series are really good for the money. If you want a bit more optical zoom without moving up to a DSLR, then the Lumix TZ3 is a good bet. there is a TZ4 and TZ5 as well, which are the same as the TZ3 but have a higher megapixel CCD. i dont think you can get the TZ4 or TZ5 under £200 at the moment though.

Dont forget to factor in a memory card as well!

The Fujifilm Z100 is in a slightly different market to the Ixus - it is more of a fashion camera, and the Ixus and Lumix will give you better image quality.

canon ixus cameras are supposed to be pretty damn good but dont look as good as other cameras

heard that the lumix ones are decent too

but i got myself a Casio Exilim 10.1 MP as i saw my friends and the quality was awesome. ESPECIALLY on videos and when im at gigs i like to take a video or two.
