Sorry in advance if this is stupid - but is it possible to fit a steering wheel with CD player controls to a C that originally did not have steering wheel controls?

Do you need to do any wiring?

hit an miss on the early c's anything after 02 should have it wired then all you need is the contactor/clockspring (about 10 quid max - ebay) and the buttons for the wheel or another wheel (30-40 quid off the bay for a wheel with switches. A leather wheel maybe a bit more) or you may be able to cut the holes out for a set of switches on your current wheel (theres a tut on here)

if the wiring isnt there its only 2 extra wires (3rd wire is the ground whats shared with the horn) so no need to change the loom imho

pop the cowling off around the stalks the plug what goes in the back of the contactor/clockspring if it has 6 wires its wired !!!!!!!

The tut for the wheel mod (make sure the bolt holes are there, where the switches mount) .........................

Mines a late 03 (Sep IIRC) Club and it doesn't have the right dashboard loom. Which is annoying, I'd have to rip a car apart at a scrappy to get one or buy a new one for £££. But yeah beyond that it's a contactor as flash says.

Cheers for the response fellas. I've got an 01 plate so doubt I will have the necessary wiring, will give it a miss. Thanks anyway, might be useful to someone else.. :dontknow:
