Oxygen Free

Okay, i'm going to replace my ground cable, looking for some 4Awg cable, but i'v found it's much cheaper just buying ordinary cable which is about 10mm thick.
Will this do or do i need the 'oxygen free' stuff?

Any 'good' 4AWG will be fine, just the stuff from halfords is perfect.

you can use pretty much whatever cable you like to earth but i would suggest getting the proper stuff because earthing issues can cause a lot of problems and you may just end up having to buy some 4awg from an audio shop anyway!

It's just in the last week or so my amp has been turning off, wiggled the ground wire and it comes back on for a second. The cable itself is fine, i havent scrapped away any paint though, but it worked perfectly for 6 months.

Also would like the cable to be longer. I'm going up halfords in a little while anyway, i'll have a look
