Sealed or ported sub enclosure

Right, i am in debate whether to get a sealed sub box or a ported one.
The two options will be both off the shelf boxes so no custom made ones.
I want good sound quality with reasonably loud bass.

it will be a stardard 12" 1.0cu.ft 3/4" MDF box sealed box

it depends what you want. SQ you wanna go for a sealed box, if you want it loud go for ported

if you want the best out of the sub go custom and get one designed. go to b&q and there cut the mdf to size for you. Some glue and screws (make sure you pilot the holes tho) an a few hours and it will be done
