View Full Version : swirl marks
when cleaning the car i noticed there are loads of them is there any polish i can use to get them away ?
I spend my life trying to get rid of swirl marks, get used to it. I'd never own a black car again...

Lew has returned! SRP fills them temporarily. Machine polisher is only way to get rid of them though...

Getting rid of them will be impossible task
SRP only hides them for a day or two

srp is polish and glaze combined.
polish cleans paint, glaze fills marks, you will be best off getting some glaze see how it goes

Autoglym Ultra deep shine should help to reduce the swirl marks. i would suggest a good clay first though, but you can use it straight after a wash:)

porter cable is a machine polisher.

Doubt there's much point removing them completely as you'll only put them back in when you wash it again, unless you buy 2 buckets, grit guards, lambswool washmitt, a foam lance and a proper drying towell.
I'd just get some Autoglym SRP, it fills them in and hides them the best out of all the similar products.

Totally disagree.
SRP will hide them. You wash and put more swirls in. Then you wash some more and put even more swirls in.. You apply a coat of SRP and it wont hide them as well.
I advise getting machine buffed, keep it well polished and waxed.

Why pay for someone to come and machine polish it though if you're just gonna put more swirls in?
It's all about wash technique, my car's been swirl free for nearly 6 months being washed every week.

I very much doubt that.
Swirl marks = How you wash your car. If done properly paint is fine.
