Neon Footwells When Lights Are Switched On

Ok so I'm planning on getting the 12" Blue Dual Cold Cathode Kit from EBuyer. I looked over some of the tutorials but I couldn't see what I was after, but knowing me I bet there's one there.

I only want the footwell neons to come on at night so I was wondering if there is a way to make them come on when I turn on the headlights, and also is it easy to do?

you're better wiring em to a switch as it would be handy to be able to turn em off sometimes.
like if you get pulled over for example as although they're not illegal many policemen think they are! plus just the hassle of explaining them!

Ok thanks for the advice, I'm not sure if a switch comes with the one from ebuyer, I'll have to wait and see unless anyone knows.

yes mate switch FTW - put it in the little box under the steering wheel (just to the right)...

i did mine to my interior light, so when i unlock the car they come on, i can turn them on/off by the switch and they glow up and down. its proper cool

i wired mine 2 the sig lighter light on it, which means whni turn lights on they cum on which is gud !

Easiest method is just to wire them to the cig lighter and use the switch. I cant see the point in making them come on with the lights, why not just have a switch so if your gran gets in you can turn em off and dont have to listen to hear waffle on about them and how times have changed and probarbly end up on the subject of the great war.

Never thought about it that way, would I still be able to use my cig lighter though as I use that to charge my phone?

ive bin through 4 pairs of them cathodes, so i spent a bit more on me last pair 50 quid!!
o and yea you can still use ya cig lighter as long as you reconnect it :)
