Has anyone got a guide on how to fit the ISO to BMW adapter??
I have the adapter plug, but there are 2 wires, one yellow and one orange that the instructions say you need to connect to pins 12 and 18 of an 18 pin connector. I have no idea where this said 18 pin connector is :? .
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks.

It turns out, all that needed to be done was to connect the yellow wire from the BMW harness onto the red wire from the corsa harness. I thought this is what was needed but didnt want to blow anything up!!!
anyway, new headunit in now - i just need to design my boot install and i'll be a bit happier then with some decent sounding tunes :)

Matt,
I had this problem too. It did solve it by connecting the yellow wire to the red wire, but you will notice that your radio is not ignition controlled. If you would prefer it to be ignition controlled see your vaux dealer and ask them to order you a facia for the 05 plate. The facia comes with the correct harness lead (which connects to the cig lighter) and cost me £35. If you want P/N PM me

thanks for the reply. it doesnt bother me that much that its not controlled via the ignition. i might need to pay another visit to Uplands to get the adapter to make the headunit be controlled via the steering wheel controls - i never liked them until i got used to them!!!!

ok, dont wanna sound stupid.....but a lot of this talk is over my head.....i, not sure what everyone is going on about...
When i changed my HU, i took out my old one, and put in the new one! no wires or adapters or anything was needed AT ALL! My head unit plugged straight into the orginal plugs. Its an 04 plate....and about the yellew and red wire thingy, i havent actually swapped em over yet, but yeah u just connect red to yellow, and yellow to red! All that happens if you dont do this is that it doesnt have a memory (i.e. radio presets and EQ set ups will go back to default everytime u switch it off)

If it's an 04 then it will have the old ISO style connectors, so fitting a new stereo is easy. The 2005 models (54 plate onwards) have a different type of stereo connector and the new style stereos with the big volume knob in the middle.
