24-04-2008, 20:55
theres alot of mixed opinions on the wheels. some people love them....others hate them.

car isnt quite finished yet though. smoothed front bumper, irmscher splitters, polished wheels etc still to come

Get the wheels polished and then lower it a bit further. Then get the interior sorted and i reckon you might be able to pull it off.

Wheels work well with the colour of the car imo.

Yeah just a few little odds and end to finish it (like doing something with the black plastic and such).

Oooooh also, is that a standard handbrake or what?

scott-sxi
24-04-2008, 21:52
i think they suit it, just needs proper slamming to pull them off 100% though, i was looking at one of these when i was looking at sri's, is yours the 1.8 16v or the turbo? looks smart either way!

johnsastra16v
24-04-2008, 21:53
yeah standard handbrake, why?

johnsastra16v
24-04-2008, 21:53

Clearly obvious merc Centres on a Vaux.... Not cool

24-04-2008, 21:58

yeah standard handbrake, why?

Wonder if it would fit on the corsa, 'cus its not to bad. And i'm sure it'd fit better than the richbrook one i've got atm.

gloss black centres

corsa_si
24-04-2008, 22:11
Looks mint, stuff whatever the others say on here. They'll only be happy if you get SRi rims, change shocks them.

24-04-2008, 22:11
Love the interior, as for the alloys they don't suit it to be honest.
I dont think you should get the Irmscher kit, it looks awful for the Astra Coupe.

johnsastra16v
24-04-2008, 22:13
as said lol, there are so many mixed opinions on my car lol

ive seen another coupe over in germany with the same wheels painted black and it looks great. but the car is black too, so it may not suit mine.

im calling some companies tomo about a wheel refurb, so we'll see

Don't be swayed by opinions on this site honestly mate, think they look mint. Most on this forum won't be happy unless your car has some sort of irmscher kit on it.

24-04-2008, 22:39
gorgeous, drop it on its arse now:)

maybe colour coded centers?

partridge_88
24-04-2008, 22:41
doesnt work on a non VAG/merc IMO

spikedjack
24-04-2008, 22:43
i think they suit the large low shape

it has a very similar line to a clk coupe so works well imo

Chaz
24-04-2008, 22:48
colour code those beeatches

http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/9746/burgastrafa3.jpg

still think that looks mint ^^^^

it looks cool as it is atm tho.

i would skip the irmy kit and go for a lot of smoothing...the irmy kit IMO for the coupe looks very stuck on :(

partridge_88
24-04-2008, 22:49
yeah, irmy front splitter on the coupe is dire... looks like a halfords job.

Looks good mate!

Ignore the bad comments, if its remotely euro and someone doesnt understand the wide/stretch tyre/merc/porsche look then they'll call it rubbish even when its not lol.

Bottom line is, looks good!

Jameshs_SRI
25-04-2008, 08:04
It needs a better stance, they will work if its lower and with some spacers to poke them out of the arches slightly.

They suit it but could look soooooo much better

cunney
25-04-2008, 08:07
I were going to put some replcia's of them onto my old corsa, with gloss black inside rims, thijnk they'd stand out better on a smaller car rather than your car, loooks different tho which is kwl

ryansawdon
25-04-2008, 09:23
I reckon full respray black and black the rims out, interior is very niceee btw and love the grill looks mean

johnsastra16v
25-04-2008, 13:16
cheers for all the comments chaps.

just got off the fone to a refurbing company, so il be getting the wheels done.

either black centre and polished lip or colour coded. but colour coded will cost £100 per wheel unless i can chose a match from the powder they already have.

i think the colour coded looks the muts!

like the wheels and the car but need to get rid of the merc badge so it matches the car properly. at the moment it just looks like you stuck any old rims on
