How has everyone wired their RCA's to the headunits? ie In relation to the pedals! Above them or around them...

I am a complete newbie to installing ice, so some help would be much appreciated :D

Edit: OK I'm guessing above the pedals, near where I have my neons attached? :? Someone must know... Also I tried slidding the rca cable under the plastic, but its on so tight it won't go under, so does this mean that I have to undew the screw and take off the bonnet catch to get the rca under?

I tried getting it under there, but it won't go because the plastic is so tight against the carpet ... :err:

I managed to slip the cables from the back under the side trim, and under the door sill cover without needing to remove the panel, but it's a tight job.

rca - are they not the red/white plugs?

i have wires to my changer going above the pedals and under the door sill bit, then down the side of the rear seats

same down the other side but around the back of my glovebox and under the door sill

i just undid the screw to the plastic where the door hunges and pulled it out a bit, then fed the wires in

run it down the centre of the car.

undo all the screws in the centre section, pull off the gear gatier/handbrake gaiter, and feed it all under the carpets and under the trim. neat and easy.

Cheers Martin :D

I choose the way Jase did it because I tried your way and gave up  Got all the wires by the handbrake and couldn't see how I could get the carpet to lift enough to allow me to thread it up through

I did it and you can't see them at all  I'm pleased with my first effort! My fingers are hurting now though

Now for the power cable

poweer cable advice - get some pointed plier thingys, and pierce the gromet, then get sum1 to stick the nose of the pliers thru and hold them there while u feed the cable into them, then tell them to grip and pull and it should pull the cable thru

I've gotta find the grommet first  Need to do some revision now though... SO will have a look either tomorrow morning or Saturday morning :D

Cheers for the advice Sicky

Yep found it  Cheers lads

Looks like a 2 man job though, to hold it open and wire it through?

Plus I think I need to move my battery to get to it :(

u dont need to move anything but sum1 2 operate the pliers while u feed it into them or vice versa is needed

in your pics just put the RCA cables on top of the trim you have removed and run it to the back of the car under the trim on the side.
