View Full Version : Time Team
Anybody watched it at all?
I know archeology is not everyone's cup of tea but Ive been watching it for years and think its really interesting? My house is built on the bank above an old roman road, and I imagine roman soldiers may have marched through all them years ago.
I love it when they reveal a mosaic, slap bang in the middle of a field where would have stood a massive roman villa, which was abandoned and forgotten about. So much is out there laying undiscovered.

it was the old 5 story bombproof BT builing from ww2, its opposite the roman ampithreatre
the A6 is a roman road, but no1 finds that interesting, they just moan about the speed limit on there
all much of a muchness imo, nowt interesting about people living before us, if you found a cup in a pile of dirt you'd hardly find it interestin, but 500 years from now sum1 will find that cup and it'll be hghlight of there week

There is a farm about half a mile from my house and the farmer was digging out a ditch with his Jcb and he noticed something sticking up in the mud.It was badly corroded but it turned out to be a roman sword.
Your right though, its not interesting to some people at all.
