TBH mate the difference will be minimal without an amplifier. If the speakers require a lot of power then they could actually sound worse.
There was someone selling some infinity components for about £50 on here, so look into those if they havent been sold already, and have a gander at these:

These ones are rated at 35WRMS so they should work better with the standard HU than the SXS's.

yeah i think its normally i nthe back u have the amp fitted as it normally goes with a sub. then u jus run the amps speaker cables down and into the door sills. sound easy enough im gonna give it a go in a bit now see howfun it will be installin an amp n sub to a standard head unit lol :P
Amping comps is the way forward as it gives them the juice they need and gets them nice and crisp. I did mine wen I did my install and it was well worth the time spent getting it all correct, sound fantastic!!
lol what are the things you sometimes get with them there like little amps

Crossovers mate. In the case of components, they allow you to set a high pass filter and a low pass filter to send only the highs to the tweeters and the mids / low's to the woofer cone.

Well, you dont NEED an amp, they will work without one. But, an amplifier will increase the quality tenfold.

A two channel amp generally. The actual amp will depend on what speakers they are, budget, etc.
