2 has the best connectivity, is the newest and imo is the nicest aesthetically. 1 has the best sound features, while 4 obviously has a very nice screen. It's really a personal choice between those factors.

or Motorworld were going to do me a deal on one that has bluetooth and (it can answer your phone) handsfree' mp3/cd player £140... cant remember what make though.

to use bluetooth you'll need a KCE-300BT (~£80)
to use imprint you'll need a imprint processor KTX-100EQ (~£150)
to use ipod you'll need a KCE-422i cable (~£20)
i would go for 1 if you can handle the crappy touch glide stuff as the i-Personalize stuff is cool. but you'll need a KCA-420I (~£75) interface for the 9855r and thats not fast speed but the original alpine ipod connection (I use it and I've never noticed any speed probs)

I recommend this: http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/5037.html
MP3, Bluetooth Handsfree and ipod compatible if you get an additional adapter. Looks good too without attracting chavs. And then there's the best bit, the SQ. You know you want it.

This is correct. I have the 9887R + 300BT + 420. Personally I think it's a good headunit, and has Imprint as aforementioned. 300BT is a bit rubbish tbh, takes an age to find the correct person to ring unless you have recently called them.
To get the Imprint setup you would probably be better off getting an audio shop to set it up for you as it only needs to be setup once.
I suppose it also depends on what other stuff you are going have in your system as to which one it's worth getting.

Plus it's also worth knowing that the 9887r and 300BT can be bought as a package from car audio security, which saves a bit.
