Looks awesome mate, i've seen a few 800mm lens pictures of the moon, some are amazing! Type 800mm into flickr and there's loads there.

Up to 90mm moon shot from me. Not very good like, but it was a first time shot trial.

I take it that there isnt any camera exposure tweak or lightness setting etc?!

Nope, that's how the sky was, just black. There may have been a slight tweak with curves, but that's about it, really.

I think the shutter speed was about 1.3, or so.

Ah lol. Could always do a colour range selection, and then change it that way - IE make it darker?

Or change it, so it's more purple etc? Depends on what you want to do really. If you wanted to make it more blacker, I'd suggest doing the colour selection, and then reducing the brightness.

Very nice! Did you do it with colour selection, or something else?

Desaturate the colour, and then just tweak the brightness and contrast

Its a balance to try to still get black sky but bright moon.

Awesome, never thought of that. Would have tried it my way first, then pondered if it didn't work, and then tried that way lol.

I know what you mean. Could always do some selecting, and inverse selecting, to get just the sky, and the bit on the moon, to then dark everything but the moon.

Probably easier, and better the way you did it though, just making it all B&W.

Lol, I'm sorry I can't take a picture of the moon. I'll give it another bash soon, just for you. I tried it once, and quickly, and that was a result.
