Have you taken the grub screws out of the allen key holes? Take the for of them out, push in the keys into the holes, then pul both sides - should slide out!

Yep ive taken the grub screws out and slid the keys in, i can hear and feel then catch something inside as if there locking into place but when i pull it doesnt budge. If u pull the keys too hard then they just come out of the head unit.

i jst changed my standard head unit and i had the same problem, i bought the removal pins from halfords cost me about £4 and it stil didnt work! u jst need to keep trying and pull like fuk!! the guys in vauxhall and halfords couldnt get it out! push the pins in til they click pull to the left with the left one and the right with the other and jst pull and eventually it will cum out and will look awrsome with a new head unit!

When you put the keys in, you need to push them outwards (towards the doors) to push the locking pins in while pulling, so a recap:

Insert pins
Push outwards and keep pushing
Pull the unit towards you while maintaining outward pressure.

Had the same trouble mate, the pins from halfords werent the best, but as KASH said push in then kinda bend out with pressure on them they evenually grip enough to get the H/U out

Well i had another half hour of messin about wid the keys but wid no result so i took a claw hammer to it as im not bothered bout the head unit.

I pulled the facia off and saw that one of the release clips had been pushed into the cage and was catching, so i prised that out and then the head unit pulled out.

Quite rewarding really, the cage isnt damaged but the head unit is written off. Who cares tho im gettin a new one lol

Thanx for all your help guys

if you take the air vents off then the bit under neath and use the ckeys that you bought and gie the cage a little pull it is as simple as that my 8 yr old godson could do it.

Dont make a mountain out of a molehill!!1

If not, can you not just take the part above it out and then get a better grip on the radio to slide out? Only four torx screws.
