View Full Version : What to buy next....
Hey all:wave:
Well I'm getting more and more in to this photography lark and was wondering for some1 who is slowly developing their skills, what would be the best thing to buy next??
I have a Nikon D40 with standard 18-55mm lens, and was just looking to expand my equipment and try some different things. So what next?? A new lens, flash cube/gun, tripod?? Any advice/links/price details etc for goods would be brilliant.
Cheers all

a tripod is a must for any photography, what do you like to take pic's of? then people can help you with the lens you need
tripod is a must
after that basic things are remote shutter release, spare batterys etc, usually a decent telephoto lense something like 70/80 - 300

As above, get a tripod first and a remote shutter thing, and depending on your needs a telephoto lense and / or a flash gun.
Big memory card for lots of RAW?

Thanks m8. I take pictures of almost anything really, cityscapes, cars, events anything that captures the imagination really, but I'll look in to a tripod.

A tripod will be useful in pretty much all of those situations at some point :)
