EOS400D
If you get it from Currys I may get you a discount...
And then you get a 45 cash back offer.

whats slr i dont have a clue
it stands for "single lens reflex" it means theres is a mirror 2 view your shot before you take it instead of seeing it digitally. and it the mirror acts as guard from dust so that u can change lens.:D

pfff amateur lol.
it means that the image is reflected from the lens up to the viewfinder (like a periscope) and means that you see the true image through the lens, unlike on digital and disposable cameras, where your simply looking through a "hole" in the camera above the lens, therefore your not seeing the same image the lens is, so if something is centred as you looked at it, it would be slightly off to one side on the actual image.
and the mirror isn't there as a guard from dust lol.

Indeed. Although most modern compacts just have a live view and no viewfinder at all.

yep. again something that fcuking angers me to no end!! try using an LCD to take a photo in bright sunshine or dark and you've no fcuking chance!! and yet people still think having a 72" voice activated touch screen on the back of their camera makes it the best on the market

Meh, i havent had any problems with my TZ3 in the dark or in bright sunlight. if the screen is any good, it will be an anti-glare screen.
Buy the Nikon D60 for £460, and get £75 cash back from Nikon ;)
