A bit of post processing would sort that i reckon mate.

cool, what happend when you get two pics that overlap, do you have to cut very carefuly around the overlapping parts or is there an easy way?

Gazza_DJ
14-07-2008, 15:09
As i understand it, you layer all the images on top of one another and then simply delete the bits of each layer you dont need. you are never going to get the light in each and every one 100% perfect, so you may have to use a soft eraser on the edges to blend it in, and maybe alter the brightness / contrast / balance of a layer very slightly to get a perfect match.

well for the above, i set my camera to manual, choose a specific shutter speed and f number. I kept it on manual focus. An important thing to remember is to change the white balance to anything other than automatic. took all the shots quite quickly, about 2 mins for 12 shots.

then just done the rest in photoshop

Never posted in here before, but thought id put these up.

Went down to the Festival of Speed on saturday and there was 3 Veyrons parked next to eachother so got a few pics on my dads dslr.

Was pretty much just point and shoot with all the settings on auto then a quick play around in lightroom.

Critisism is good, as long as its constructive! I think it may have been set to 400, Im still quite new to DSLR's and I kept forgetting to change the ISO setting :\

LOL. I did the same thing. Was out this weekend with Fusco and i was shooting at ISO 400 most of the day. Ruined quite a few pictures i had took aswell. All part of learning i guess.

Need to get mine done some point haha, did you struggle with the dodgy lighting?

Gazza_DJ

Yes - I found that on most of the stands the lighting was simply too dark. I was struggling even at ISO400 :(

Just got around taking the photo's from my camera from the two weeks I've been here. Here's one from when I had the camera in the office, where the sun was setting, and it started to rain a bit, so I took a snap.

It looks like like it's grainy, but it's the rain.

Here's one from the other day. Only managed to edit it, and stuff. Three exposed image put together in Photomatix, and then edited further in Lightroom. Shot with a Canon 400D, and the stock 18-55mm lens.

Well, I did try to make something of it, as this is how it came out after going through Photomatix. The sun was too bright, and when it went behind the clouds it was better for the shot, but the sun was too dark.

Bearing in mind this was took just before 12pm, which is the worst time of the day to take pictures lol.

I did try a dark edit as I usually do, but it didn't suit it, so I just left it how it was.

Was in the states last week and week before on holiday and managed to get a few star trail snaps when we was at one place called cranberry lake in NY State, its about 20 miles away from the canadian border. Ive recently gotten into Astronomy and decided to give it ago.

I focused in on the north pole (polaris) as this is always stationary and set a long exposure to capture the trail. I have also added Fusscos presets to them and they dont look to shabby with them.

The quality seems awful on here. The originals look great though!

It does indeed. The reason for that is because your camera (Nikon D40 according to the EXIF) is currently set to the the AdobeRGB colour space. Web browsers always use the sRGB colour space, so when a web browser renders it the colours look completely different.

The easiest fix is to always shoot in sRGB unless you specifically want / need adobeRGB.

But yeah, the image looks nice when its rendered properly :P

Its the best way to do it IMO, unless you have specific needs to AdobeRGB. At the moment, I think Safari on OS X is the only browser that can display AdobeRGB correctly, and even then only under certain set conditions.

Keith Fusco
02-10-2008, 17:23
Same. I'd only use AdobeRGB if I was to print out my shots, to get the full colour worth, but even in sRGB, it's fine.

Yeah, that is true mate. I don't think Firefox allows you? I only ever use Safari on my MAC, and IE on my Windows PC.

Yep, it's that tight, so as soon as the penis enters the rectum, you'll cum.

Not one of my latest one's, it was taken back in February, but it was a shot I just put to one side, as I didn't think it was that good. Done some re-visiting to photo's last night, and re-edited it. Looks ok, I guess...
